Yeah!!! Our furniture was delivered this past week and Josh had the task of assembling it all! He put the crib together on Saturday while I went to lunch with my sister, mom, grandma, and nephew. He said the crib didn't take him too long to put together, except that he had to take pieces apart because the directions didn't specify front from back on some of the pieces... oops.On Sunday, I supervised while Josh put together the dresser.... I'm not sure that they could have given it to us in any more pieces... it was ridiculous. It took Josh at least an hour to just sort through the parts and put in the dowel rods. It was crazy. Once the pieces started going together, though, it was smooth sailing. I'm glad that Josh is so handy around the house... I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have been able to put everything together quite as nicely as he did.
On Saturday I also had Josh take some belly pictures.... my belly is starting to grow more and more each week now and it is not a feeling I really appreciate. I know it's "for a good cause" and all, but... still... I'm not sold on the whole idea.
We enjoyed our 3-day weekend- it was much needed! After lunch with my family on Saturday, Josh and I had steak & lobster for dinner. Josh grilled everything and it was so good- I just wish I could have eaten more! On Sunday we stayed around the house, watched tv, put the dresser together, and just hung out with the dogs. Monday brought blood work (glucose testing... gross), trips to Home Depot, Sam's Club, Michael's, & Radio Shack. Once home, I took a nap since I wasn't feeling well and Josh has been working on a gate in the backyard to stop the dogs from using our side yard as a restroom. Hopefully the gate will also prevent Dutchess from continuing to dig an escape route!
I will officially be 27 weeks tomorrow (Tuesday). It seems like forever ago that we found out we were pregnant and although there were several weeks in there that I was not the happiest person in the world, the past couple of weeks have gone by quickly. Before I know it I'll be 30 weeks! Having baby's room put together for the most part makes it all seem real... like I actually have to get her out of my body and then take her home!! Josh seems 100% fine with this but I am still a bit apprehensive and nervous. We have already had our hospital tour and now we are attempting to pick a peditrician. There are really just too many choices...
Josh heads out on Thursday with my dad for their annual hunting trip... javelina. I always just cross my fingers in hope that (a) no one gets a javelina and (b) Josh comes back in one piece. He has yet to have a camping/hunting trip without blood shed. Maybe this is our lucky year!!
