5 Months Old

Peyton is FIVE months old today!

Her accomplishments so far have been:
- rolling over front to back and back to front
- rolling over several times in a row :)
- laughing
- sitting with assistance
- grabbing on to things and putting them in her mouth
- sleeping for up to 8 hours at night
- smiling all the time
- spitting

To celebrate, Peyton and I met a friend of mine from college at the park with her son.  Luke was very interested in the trash cans and sand, not so much in his mom, me or Peyton.  He did eventually enjoy the swings with Peyton.

Driving to the park...

Hanging out with Christine

Bucket Swings with Luke!

Playing on the blanket with Mommy

After our morning at the park, Peyton and I met up with one of my elementary school teachers for lunch.  Zell and I have been able to keep in contact over the past several years and she was very excited to meet Peyton.  She made hooded towels for Peyton that are super cute and very soft.  I know that we'll be using them for years to come!

Brady's Baptism

On Saturday, Brady Michael was baptized!  Josh and I are so proud to be his God Parents... we couldn't ask for a sweeter Godson!  I will post more pictures soon, but here are a couple.

Nap Time!

Peyton doesn't believe in napping... I've tried to explain the importance of a good nap to her, but she just doesn't agree.  She doesn't need beauty sleep and she is always in a good mood... or at least that is her excuse!  As you can see, Peyton loves her sea horse that my mom bought her.  She loves chewing on it and it keeps her quiet for a few extra minutes which I love!

I think she is trying to escape!

How do I get out of here??

Visiting Great-Grandma

Peyton and I spent Thursday afternoon with Great-Grandma Harris!  Great-Grandma loves holding Peyton.  We are so blessed to have Great-Grandma so close by!

Cereal

Josh was convinced that Peyton needed cereal.  I wasn't convinced, but went along with it anyway.  Peyton obviously wasn't ready as she didn't eat one drop.  It ALL ended up on her, us, and the floor.  We will wait a while longer before trying again.

First Bite

Let me just play with the spoon a bit...

I am so messy!
Nope, doesn't taste any better when Daddy gives it to me!

The Zoo

Peyton and I spent Wednesday morning at the zoo.  This was Peyton's first trip to the Phoenix Zoo and she was thrilled, as you can imagine.  She enjoyed her snack, watching the kids run by, and especially looking at the dirt.  She was not really impressed by all the animals, but that's ok.
