Thanksgiving

Peyton's 1st Thanksgiving!!
We started the day at my Grandma's house with my family and ended at Tanya & Scott's house with Josh's family.  Peyton was a trooper and was very well behaved at both locations.  I think I was the one who needed a nap!  Unfortunately, my camera batteries died before getting to Tanya's... will have to download some of her and LaVonne's pictures!

Pictures in the Park

So after we got Peyton's ears pierced on Saturday, we met a family friend at the park on Sunday for some family pictures & Peyton's 6 month pictures.  We've known Amanda since forever... my mom use to babysit for her and her brother.  You can check out her blog here.  We were so excited for her to take our pictures.  We even took a few of our own.  You can totally tell the difference between her pictures and ours.  Note to self: need new "professional" camera for amazing pictures... good thing there is one at Sam's Club that I will be getting ASAP!!

Ear Piercing 11-21-09

Josh and I have known for a while that we wanted to get Peyton's ears pierced... our pediatrician asked that we wait until Peyton was at least 15 months... I kind of gave her that "are you sure I have to wait that long?" look and then she told me that if I wanted to do it earlier that she would like me to wait until after Peyton's 6 month shots.
Soo... on November 21st we took a family trip to the mall and got Peyton's ears pierced!!  Josh got the job of holding her while I tried not to cry.  Peyton did really well and only cried for a bit.  She didn't cry nearly as loud as I thought she would.

6 Months!

Josh took Peyton to her 6-month appointment.  Her stats are as follows:
Weight: 12 pounds 10 ounces (3%)
Length: 26 inches (50-75%)
Head: 16.5 inches (25%)

Enjoy some photos (I just realized that I'm not making sure to take pictures on the 12th of each month... dang it!)

Sweet Potatoes

I was hoping to wait until Peyton was 6 months old to introduce any more foods, but today seemed as good as any to give sweet potatoes a shot.  Peyton has been eating a bit of cereal here and there, but mostly it just gets all over the place.

Apparently cereal tastes much better with sweet potatoes mixed in!  Yum!!

What a messy girl!! Just like her Daddy!

"What do you mean it's all gone???"

Halloween 2009

Peyton's first Halloween was very eventful!  First, we tried on her tutu, only to find out it was still too big.  So instead of being a ballerina, we put the tutu on her head and made it into a wig.  I think it is pretty darn cute!
Next, Peyton learned that her mommy is unable to match outfits.  The hat is from her "I take after my Mummy" jammies, the outfit is from Auntie Tanya, and the pink baby legs were to keep her legs warm!  And yes, I actually sent her to school like this.  No, she was not embarrassed... have you seen how her daddy dresses???
Next it was off to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Bruce's house to visit the dogs on Halloween.  Peyton wore her "My 1st Halloween" outfit that was also too big for her (it was a 3-6 month outfit).  She tries really hard to sit up on her own, but she is still a bit wobbly.

After a yummy steak dinner we were off to Aunt Lisa, Uncle Shaun, and Brady's house.  Brady was nice enough to stay awake for us for a few minutes (way past his bedtime).  Aunt Lisa will be sending pictures soon. :)
