For Christmas, LaVonne got me a gift card to JoAnn's fabrics so that I could take a quilting class- she knew that I wanted to eventually make a t-shirt quilt, so it was the perfect gift.
Tanya, LaVonne, and I went to the class today- it was a bit different than we thought, but we got some of the basics. I decided to start small and make a hand quilt for Peyton from a onsie that I had made for her. (The puppy was airbrushed on).
Here is the front of the quilt- now I just have to figure out what to do with the back! Need to find some more cute fabric that will be a nice accent, add some batting, and then let Peyton enjoy it!
Needless to say it is not perfect... and I had to rip out several seams due to miscalculations and human-error! But I hope that she enjoys the quilt and it able to carry it around with her.... and she can say "my mommy made it for me!" :)

January?
Um, excuse me? Can someone please explain to me what happened to January? Wasn't it Christmas like last week??
I have no idea where the entire month of January went... whoops!
Some highlights include:
- Peyton continues to feed herself (a little messy, but cute)
- Peyton is crawling everywhere- and Duke is not appreciative of this!
- Peyton is able to go from any position to a sitting position all by herself!
- Peyton has started to pull herself up to a standing/leaning position.
- Peyton says "dadadadada" and "mamamamama" ... not really directed at anyone or anything, but it's still cute.
